Abi-Saab Foundation for International Law and Social Justice
Our mission
The Foundation aims to promote the development of international law to achieve greater social justice between states and peoples, as well as within internal societies.
To achieve its goal, the Foundation undertakes, among other, the following activities:
- Awarding prizes for recent doctoral theses or monographs;
- Granting research or publication scholarships; and
- Organizing and/or funding conferences, symposia, or other academic activities.
In accordance with its mission, the foundation operates in Geneva, Switzerland, and internationally.

Georges Abi-Saab Prize
The Abi-Saab Foundation for International Law and Social Justice is pleased to announce the Georges Abi-Saab Prize. This annual prize recognizes outstanding monographs in international law and social justice. Monographs written in English or French that meet the requirements set out in the regulations may be submitted to the Foundation for consideration.
The Foundation Activities
Research Projects
In the future, the Foundation intends to fund research projects related to international law and social justice. The application deadline will be announced later.
Other Activities
In the future, the Foundation intends to organize conferences and other academic activities, details of which will be announced later.
